August 6, 2025 — Manila. In a powerful display of brotherhood and legacy, the Magis Eagles Basketball Team alumni reunited for an unforgettable afternoon of camaraderie, competition, and celebration at Kerry’s Sports, Shangri-La The Fort. Spearheaded by SHS–Ateneo de Cebu Alumni President Afshin Ghassemi together Coach Rommel Rasmo of the Magis Eagles Basketball team, the reunion brought together former athletes who once soared on the hardcourt, many of whom went on to compete in the UAAP and NCAA.

Despite their diverse life journeys and career paths, the former Magis Eagles players proved that true team spirit never fades. After the game, the players gathered for a meaningful dinner, an evening filled with laughter, shared memories, and renewed bonds. It was a heartfelt reminder of the program’s enduring impact, built not only on basketball, but on values of discipline, unity, and brotherhood.

“This is more than just a game. It’s a legacy of excellence, discipline, and brotherhood that continues far beyond the final buzzer,” said Ghassemi. Ghassemi hopes to make these reunions a regular tradition.
